Set amongst magnificent old trees, the estate offers a private function facility that is exclusively yours for your special day. Panoramic views of undulating sugar fields are complemented by the warm "family" hospitality of the staff at the estate. Thirty minutes from central Durban and an arms length from Ballito, Collisheen offers a perfect venue for conferences, meetings and corporate training.
Our chapel, complete with private garden, and our extensive functions room, bridal salon and outdoor arena with water feature and landscaped gardens are the perfect venue for an intimate and stylish wedding. Collisheen has a B&B on the premises and is close to an extensive range of accommodation, from luxury country hotels to bed and breakfasts and self-catering facilities should your guests want to stay over. Collisheen has two conference facilities that can accommodate between 10 and 400 delegates depending on the seating configuration and is perfectly situated for corporate teambuilding, networking, conferences and functions.
Take a step back in time into the land of the pioneers of early Natal and experience the peace and tranquility offered on an original sugar estate. The estate was established nearly a century ago by it's founders Douglas Liege and Zillah Hulett. After a trip to Ireland they decided to name the estate "Collisheen" in memory of a town they had visited and enjoyed. Through the years they ran Collisheen as a cattle farm, dairy, timber plantation and of course a sugar estate. The next generation, Neil and Morag Hulett, who took over the farming operation after Douglas' untimely death, set and broke numerous world records in their quest to successfully breed and raise the previously very endangered cheetah in captivity.
Cancellation Policy
No-show or same day cancellation, 100% of total cost of accommodation.
7 or less days, forfeit full deposit
From 8 to 14 days, forfeit 75% of the deposit
From 15 to 21 days, forfeit 50% of the deposit
From 22 to 29 days, forfeit 25% of deposit
30 or more days, full deposit returned
The full extent of the stay will be charged for in the event of premature departure. This is not dependant on the B & B occupancy levels.
Bank and/or admin costs incurred in processing refunds will be deducted from the refundable amount.
